Dear lovely, kind and funny Anna. We met in 2003 in a hostel in Ecuador. We visited the Equator together. You weren’t looking where you were going and fell down a manhole and got a nasty gash in your leg. Later you joked it was the second scar you’d permanently have after your appendix. We stayed up until your flight in a kareoke bar singing through night away. You don’t always remember the people you meet when you are travelling but you were different, a force of nature , a happy bubbly girl, you made us laugh. I’ll never forget you.
